In addition to my three core priorities, Affordability Through Smart Stewardship, Empowering People with Flexibility and Trust, and Fueling Local Innovation Through Small Business Support, here are a few more initiatives I believe in. Each one reflects my commitment to local solutions, family values, and preserving what makes Longmont strong and livable.
Let Kids Be Kids
I support keeping early childhood education focused on age-appropriate learning, not political or ideological agendas. Families, not institutions, should guide how and when children are introduced to complex social topics. Kids deserve the freedom to just be kids, and parents deserve the right to lead.
Nourish Longmont
Local food systems build local strength. I support farmers, gardeners, food producers, and co-ops who make healthy, affordable food available right here in our community. Let’s reduce red tape, increase local production, and empower Longmont to feed itself, sustainably and independently.
Work First Longmont
I believe in the dignity of work and the power of purpose. Rather than expanding long-term aid, let’s support businesses and community programs that help people get back on their feet through job creation, hands-on skills, and mentorship. Work isn’t just about income, it’s about meaning, growth, and belonging.
Safe Tech
We deserve transparency and choice when it comes to technology in our homes, schools, and public spaces. I support safer tech options like hardwired internet in schools, voluntary analog utility meters, and EMF reviews near homes and playgrounds, especially to protect children and those most sensitive to exposure
Longmont Health Co-Op
Healthcare should be local, transparent, and built on trust. I support exploring a decentralized community health co-op that helps residents access affordable care—especially outside of broken insurance systems. We can strengthen Longmont’s health by focusing on prevention, natural wellness, and mutual aid.
Longmont Bitcoin Reserve
Bitcoin represents financial freedom, long-term resilience, and protection from inflation. I support exploring a local BTC reserve for Longmont’s treasury to hedge against economic instability and preserve value for Longmont’s future.
More Time at Home for Mothers
I support policies that give families more options. Many mothers would love to stay home to raise and teach their children, but can’t afford to while struggling with childcare fees. Let’s create breathing room for those who want this path by reducing household costs, supporting home-based education, and respecting the vital role of caregiving.
Revive Local Independence
We’ve lost too much local control to distant systems. I support policies that bring back local independence. Can we survive as a community without the support of globalism? Let’s make it easier to produce our own food, supply our own energy, fix our own problems, and build lives with more local solutions so that our community is more prepared for the uncertainties the future holds.
Local Sovereignty Program
Longmont should have the right to chart its own course. I support making Longmont a city that defends core freedoms like speech, privacy, and parental rights, and protection from from invasion regardless of shifting federal or state mandates. Our community knows what it needs. We should protect that right to decide for ourselves.
